Students Obeying SOP

Serdang, UPM - UPM students have once again portrayed their personality as holistic students through active participation in local community development. A strict compliance was made towards the Standards of Procedures (SOP) in conducting the community service for the flood victims in Kampung Kuala Sentul, Maran, Pahang.

This 3-day 2 nights mission were successfully completed with the help of local people and authorities. Cleaning the severely affected housing areas, providing basic provisions and small monetary help were among the form of aid provided by the volunteers from UPM. KPT-UPM Volunteering Mission was officiated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Students Affairs and Alumni (HEPA), Prof. Dr Arifin Abdu, is among the institution’s effort in coping with the aspiration of the Higher Education Ministry (KPT) to produce strong-minded students in the future. He has also conveyed his gratitude for the staffs and students who were willing to spend their time and lend help to lessen the burden of families that were affected by the natural disaster.

This collaborative initiative was led by oleh Mr. Nuruliman Ibrahim (Head of Students’ Affairs Division), Mr. Mohamed Shukri Mohamed Noor (Head of Housing and Accommodation Division) dan Aliff Akmal as the President of UPM Students’ Representative Council. Various media and welfare groups’ attention were obtained through the thoughtful effort of UPM volunteers.
