Serdang, 25 April 2025 – The Academic Staff Association of Universiti Putra Malaysia (PPAUPM) held its 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25th April 2025 at L’apprenti Restaurant & Deli, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The meeting brought together association members comprising academic staff from various faculties and institutes across UPM, with the primary aim of presenting the annual report, financial statements, and discussing matters concerning the welfare and interests of the association's members. Also conducted during the meeting was the election of new committee members for the 2025/2027 term.

The AGM was officiated by YBhg. Dato' Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia. In her speech, PPAUPM President, Prof. Dr. Jalila Abu, emphasized the importance of active engagement and the association’s role in championing the rights and interests of the academic community. She also extended her appreciation to the outgoing committee members for their dedication in driving the association’s initiatives and achievements throughout the previous term.

The election of committee members for the 2025/2027 term proceeded with the unanimous agreement of members present to reappoint the previous committee members to continue their service for the new term.

This meeting also featured constructive discussions aimed at further strengthening PPAUPM’s role as a progressive academic voice both at the university and national levels.

PPAUPM expresses a deepest appreciation to all members who attended and looks forward to continued our strong support in advancing the association's agenda in the future.
