Serdang, 19 June 2026 – An Inaugural Lecture by YBhg. Cdr. Prof. Gs. Ts. Dr. Mohd Hasmadi Ismail RMNVR from the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was held at the Forest Lecture Hall, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, UPM.

The lecture, entitled "Tree, Forest Tree, Forestry for Us: Bridging Forest Science & Geospatial Technology," highlighted his expertise in forest science and geospatial technology, particularly the application of geospatial technologies in supporting sustainable forest resource management, environmental conservation, and impactful research that contributes to national development.

The programme also served as a platform for the sharing of knowledge and research experiences among academics, researchers, students, and professionals in related fields, while further strengthening the culture of academic excellence and research at UPM.

The Universiti Putra Malaysia Academic Staff Association (PPAUPM) extends its heartfelt congratulations to YBhg. Cdr. Prof. Gs. Ts. Dr. Mohd Hasmadi Ismail, who is also a member of PPAUPM, on the successful delivery of his inaugural lecture.
